Who is Pablo Nouvelle? What are you Wired to do naturally?
Pablo is a musician/filmmaker living in a middle-sized town near some big sized mountains. This makes it actually possible to dance on the wire, which is on one end plugged to an urban open-minded world, crammed with different subcultures and on the other end there is some of the most beautiful nature I’ve ever witnessed, which serves as an endless source of inspiration. Also it helps to ensure you how little and meaningless you are opposed to the universe. Always good to put things in perspective. |

Who are the core listeners of your music? What are the vibes you want to transmit through your music?
I’d have to check my Spotify and Facebook stats. Wait a sec. Apparently mostly Mexicans. Man, I’d love to go on tour in Mexico. I think especially with the new album WIRED, which was released in March, it will be hard to break my music down to one emotion or even to one genre. If I can, in any way, touch listeners on an emotional level, that’s more than enough.
Do you challenge yourself by getting out of your comfort zone? If yes, how?
I guess if you try to make a living out of music and art in general there is rarely any comfort zone. You never know what the next year will bring, sometimes not even the next week or days. Sometimes you feel like conquering the world, the next day you might lose confidence. But there is a local saying that helps in those kinds of situations. "Gring abe u secklä" it means, “Hold your breath, swim good, it will bealright”.

I’m a digital native. The Internet is my window to art, music and information, in general. But of course, true aesthetics and true emotions are found when you unplug yourself and go out into the real world.
How would you describe your journey to connecting with an audience captivated by your creative output?
Well there is the live side of it, which is obviously a very direct and immediate way to share the music with the fans. It’s amazing to travel and bring your own music to the fans, while being in the studio an create something new is at least as exciting cause I know that eventually it will find it’s way to the audience. It’s for several years I am releasing music now under the name of Pablo Nouvelle and I’m grateful to see how the audience is growing all over the planet.
Where do you look for topics of interest to later develop in your own art forms of choice?
I’m always on the look out for inspiration. Be it to explore the net for new music or search the newspapers to finally find the next big subject to wrap a short film about it. I think a good story as well as good music need to be both: up-to-date as well as timeless.
What’s a day like in the life of a multi talented individual with multiple callings as in music and filmmaking among other things?
Everyday looks different fortunately. But most of them start at my kitchen table with one or two cups of coffee, some emails and the question, what’s the most urgent fire to extinguish at that moment. But in more quiet times, I find time to compose, write or research.
What is All You Need to feel happy?
I have a very multifaceted life and I’m extremely grateful to be able to do what I love most. I wish, we the privileged, could go back to build bridges instead of walls.
